I have always been interested in the Iron Brigade, especially those regiments from Wisconsin. My mother’s family has deep roots in Wisconsin, and I visited there a great deal in my early years. While I am still working on my “family tree,” I would not be surprised to see some great, great uncles, and cousins, who fought for our Union, with Wisconsin regiments.
