		<description>Growing up I only knew of one relative who fought in the Civil War. Recently I have found that I am descended from another Civil War Vet. Brig Gen Jacob G Vail. Although during the war he was known as Col Vail (Selma alabama 1864) He apprently was with the 17th Indiana from the day it was concieved and was one of the reenlisters on furlough when His Regiments time was up.</description>
